What does SkinScope measure?
SkinScope analyzes the rendered pixels inside its circular sampling area. Its hue guide uses Rec.709 chroma direction on an sRGB screen capture. Saturation, luma, and sample coverage help identify pixels that are too neutral, dark, or clipped to judge.
Green means alignment with your selected hue target, not proof of universally correct skin color. Lighting, creative intent, and the source application's color management still matter. Intended for SDR workflows.
What stays private?
Screen analysis stays on your Mac. SkinScope does not save or upload screen captures. Checkout, download delivery, and license verification are handled by Payhip. The app sends your license key for verification; no screen content or hardware identifier is sent.
What will I receive?
The macOS app and a license key for one person on up to two Macs. A one-time purchase, with no subscription. Internet access is needed for initial activation and occasional verification. After a successful check, you can work offline for up to 30 days. Your key and download link arrive in your Payhip receipt.
How do updates work?
SkinScope checks for new releases automatically and includes a Check for updates command. Use the download link in your original Payhip receipt to get the latest version without repurchasing. Quit SkinScope and replace the app in Applications; your license stays in Keychain. Updates notify you automatically and are installed by you.
